Why CBD?

Why CBD?

In recent years, the demand for CBD has increased exponentially all over the world. Whereas it was primarily found in oils, CBD is now used in a wide range of products such as makeup, dog treats, bedding, and bath bombs, among others.

How Demand for CBD Online Is Rising

Although there are still many who question the benefits and effectiveness of CBD as an alternative treatment for health conditions, data suggests otherwise. Findings from various studies suggest that CBD does have properties that can help alleviate symptoms associated with health conditions. This data is strongly supported by the surging demand for CBD online.

Read on to find out how the demand for CBD  has been increasing in different parts of the world.

CBD Users in the UK Doubled Within One Year

As of 2016, the number of CBD users in the UK was approximately 125,000. However, according to the United Kingdom Cannabis Trade Association, this number grew to 250,000 the following year. Data from the same report also indicates that this number continues to increase by 1,000 every month.

One of the main reasons for this spike in CBD use in the UK was the recognition of the medicinal benefits of CBD by the British government. Interestingly, women account for 65% of CBD users in the UK primarily for conditions such as anxiety, epilepsy, and back pain.

One in Seven Americans Use CBD Online Products

As with the UK, after federal law legalized the use of CBD in the US, there was a notable increase in usage. Data obtained from a survey indicates that 14% of Americans now use CBD products. In adults younger than 30, this percentage rises to 20%, indicating that the overall consumption of CBD products will continue to grow over the coming years.

Why Do People Buy CBD Online?

Despite the controversy around CBD, people purchase these products primarily for health-related issues such as:

  • Pain
  • Insomnia
  • Anxiety
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Muscle spasms
  • Stress
  • Depression

In the US, for instance, pain, anxiety, and insomnia account for 40%, 20%, and 11% of CBD purchases, respectively. On the other hand, only 4% of people purchase it for recreational purposes.

The Future of CBD

Though research on the medicinal value of CBD is ongoing, the increased use of CBD products among patients seeking alternative treatments points to its effectiveness. As such, the use of CBD products is supported and is set to continue into the coming years.
